This recording was the first ever lossless live recording I ever downloaded. It was the time, when I just discovered what the audience recording is and I obsesively started to download every captured Bon Jovi concert in MP3 file format, as I didn't know yet what's FLAC and lossless file format. I came across this one accidentally, I though it were MP3 files, but after I realized they are FLACs I decided to keep the original files.

For a while I was convinced it comes straight from taper's master tapes, because the sound quality was almost excellent. The taper must have had great equipment and a huge experience in his taping career. With a bit of EQ in WinAmp it became one of my favourite sounding recordings all-time, that's why I listened to this one for about 150 times (maybe because it's a very powerful recording - just like the Hartford, CT one).

Just about six months ago I realized it couldn't came from master tapes, because of a few reasons. There was too much noise, to beign a master recording and tape seems to runs too fast. All in all, I'm sure it comes from a 1st generation tape.

Recently, after two full days of listening to the officially released godlike Sons Of Beaches demo session I decided to deal with these FLAC files and squeeze as much quality as I can. In the beginning I decided to carefully remove proper amount of noise - not too much, because I was afraid to fuck up the audio, also not too small, to allow this noise dominate on music. Still, this recording contains some noise, but it's barely noticeable. The next step was adjusting some EQ, to pull out vocals and Hitman's percussion from the background, as it usually is. After several takes I also reduced the bass just a little bit. When everything was done as I though, project was exported to WAV file.

Now the main goal was to remove gaps, silent parts and add fades in and outs where tape flips occured. Originally at the end of every song there was about 2s of silent part, as well as 0,015s in the beginning, also they were randomously hidden in some songs.

Now I started to fight with pitch correction. Automatically I realized that tape changes speed at times. The first part of the recording, before first tape flip occured, I had to reduce to 98%, then at some points it runs correctly, while in other parts it still runs too fast. The one and only moment, where tape originally runs correctly was Blood On Blood. From Pink Flamingos to I'll Be There For You I reduced speed to 99%. The rest of the show was reduced to 99.5%.
